UNDERGROUND LIFE "la tempesta"
Super rare video dating back to the debut The Fox (perfect album except for two forgettable tracks Adler Car and Gropius Village which are just simple school exercises in Ultravox, those with the exclamation mark!).

Moda - La voce
For this video, I would have put a nice picture of Andrea Chimenti instead of Piero. I Moda are another great reality from Florence. "Bandiera," their debut from 1986, features several gems like "Ombre." The sound is predominantly wave with glam scents reminiscent of the Underground Life's "India" and the usual echoes of Sylvian. "La voce" is a fantastic track and sees the band alongside Piero.

My Blueberry Nights - Cat Power - The Greatest
my thoughts after "musikanten" by Battiato, the realization of the overturning of family archetypes in "niente è come sembra," also by Battiato, and the role of ACTING in active nihilism on an intervention by Galimberti - apart from the other points that are not strictly shareable here because they are long, articulated, and supported by clips and my direct comments during viewing or listening: nothing. I realize the fortune of living alone for 23 years with this magical cat that has chosen to walk by my side (yesterday a friend wrote to me, "sorry Dave, I'm stopping by my parents' house to sleep," I broke down in tears; indeed my family consists of me and Freccia, the cat, losing her would mean losing half my family. No one will ever come to save me, I will always have responsibility for everything, and freedom over everything; this has scared me and made me remember my father... Freccia is now my mother and my father, my brother, my sister, my best teacher, and my best student. Long live cats. Long live awareness (even of not being aware), knowing and knowing that I do not know. I discovered that someone had already thought about this. :) I am humble; I must have felt it and forgotten it, and today the thought has risen again. Tomorrow maybe the whole structure will collapse, but who cares, I can walk out the door and go through another. Here, metaphorical and concrete references intertwine, but I had to write this down, and the first page I found is this. goodbye

2. Anime salve
Another 6 years since the last album. Still the ethnic experiments. But this time something changes radically. The tracks become textually more unpredictable, more elusive, and more melancholic. In short, it's not the lucid and tragicomic Don Raffaè, it's not Monti di Mola, it's not A dumenega. But it's also not the seafaring life of Creuza de ma or the critique in La domenica delle salme; it's a story: a story that lasts 46 minutes where complete outcasts of society appear. From the Prinçesa who lives as a woman in a male body to the Rom who have always wandered the world in Khorakane. From the anchovy fisherman to the feuding families. Everything is surrounded by a beastly aura that envelops the world while these outcasts live. The album greatly benefits from the presence of Ivano Fossati, who contributes much of himself (even in certain vocal parts), especially in the title track Anime salve, a song about solitary journeys (physical or mental, most likely the latter) towards an unknown destination that is nothing other than tomorrow, nothing other than the future. These stories pass like train cars; the lovers whose love ended up lost in a Genoese flood, the Cumbà given to a man who takes poor care of it, Nina who returns to being a child in a childhood memory. But in the end, they all pass together, in a final, desperate, and immeasurable prayer asking God to be just and to finally grant them a stroke of luck after so much suffering. But in the last 3 minutes, the words are gone. There is only music, which in its silence shows these souls being absolved, finally reaching happiness after a struggle with life. Thus ends Faber's last album: with an ascension of the lesser humanity, finally free.
Meticulous rating: 10 and honors
