Wanna-Bees - On A Vacation

Finland in the late eighties - mid-nineties...

I can only find this whole album on YouTube, from the album "vacation," which is really remarkable, but only the title track is among the least beautiful...

Garage, power pop, glam...

Trust the Rev… oops, the Count...

Subspace Biographies

If he knew how to select only what deserves to be shared and didn’t publish everything he produces, Mr. Pollard would have become much more famous and not just an author for a few passionate connoisseurs.

"Everyone should take a cue from the Gairesi (I don't know if it's said like that) who, instead of rebuilding in the same place, always at hydrogeological risk, built in safer locations, solving the problem for good. Well done, Emilia should take example." quote Gairo, il paese della terra che scorre

The Creeps - Way Cool

The Creeps - She's My Girl

I revisited and truly enjoyed the albums of the "turnaround" from the great Creeps, which have been criticized by hardcore garage fans.

I completely disagree; sure, there’s hardly any garage left, but the sound—aside from a few tracks that lean towards a radio-friendly rock vibe like Brian Adam—man, the Soul atmosphere and the wonderfully Funky groove make Mr Please Please Please and Sly, Sam and LA Betty, Glenn and Tommy from the Mark IV dance. Are we kidding?!

Marvelous...

Inverno

I don’t know about you, but for us of the Netflix and couch generation, winter ultimately represents an acceptable hibernation. Where’s the snow at? It falls inside, it falls gently...

Love Fiend - "C.K.I.L."
10 at the end and another nice record to hold on to, other young talents who have sounds from over 40 years ago in their heads, but when they play them, you immediately understand that it's fresh and new.

TERRORIZER-Human Prey. Pete "Commando" Sandoval. Live at -BrutalAssaultOFFICIAL 2024 (Drum Cam)
Last night, around 6:25/6:26 PM, just before falling asleep, my doorbell rang.
It was old Gualtiero.
You know him as a guitarist from Rome. Also a part-time Mayor.
He was desperate: he asked me if I knew someone who could quickly replace Tonieffe (I asked him, "Who?" and he said, "Never mind..") for the New Year’s concert.
I grabbed the little notebook from the nightstand next to the glass with the dentures and gave him Pete's number.
What can I say: let’s hope for the best.
If this year’s New Year’s concert in the capital turns out to be a hit, you know who to thank.

"Bad Santa" A 100% Christmas movie babbo bastardo scena pub

“I went to jail once and got married twice.

Then Lyndon Johnson drafted me for Vietnam, and I had to run away to Mexico and live in shit for two and a half years.

They smashed my eye to pieces, took out a kidney, and I have a shard of bone in my ankle that will never heal; I’ve been through a lot of fucked-up situations!

But something like this had never happened to me; if I had known I would have to endure a bunch of screaming brats pissing on my lap for thirty days a year, I would have killed myself long ago!

Thinking about it, I might still be in time.

In my family, we didn’t celebrate Christmas, not because we were Jewish, but because my father was an incompetent, cowardly asshole who, as a gift, would smack me behind the ear as soon as I woke up; however, he taught me how to crack safes!

My father never did shit in his life and so he took it out on me... if you say I’m no different from him, I have to agree with you!

But at this point, it’s too late to start over... it’s funny how life is; you could die laughing!”

Opening monologue from "Bad Santa" (2003), directed by Terry Zwigoff.
