Thirteen years have passed since the Scotsman Iain David McGeachy left us at only 60 years old due to pneumonia.

This piece he dedicated to Nick Drake, of whom he and a few others were friends; Nick would die at 26 from an overdose of antidepressants just the following year in '74.

He was a legend for many who appreciated folk in all its forms (musicians included) and he knew it, so much so that he said of himself: "I am unique. I believe no one has ever played the guitar like I do. That matters to me. But I hope to improve and contribute even more. Although the structure of music serves to express something that has already formed somewhere else, I still consider myself rather original.
