Lydia Lunch - Atomic Bongos - 1980 NYC No Wave A relentless rhythm and the singing of someone who's dead inside and seems like they've never really bothered to do anything. One of the best tracks on the album.

Olivia Newton-John - Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee (Reprise) (Grease)

Grease is an underrated movie. Yes, underrated. There’s no need to turn up your nose: this adjective is often misused. Grease is a commercial film, but commercial does not mean overrated. In fact, just because it’s commercial and known by everyone, it is often labeled as a simple musical with four catchy tunes for summer dances. Instead, Grease is a truly great film. The story, the screenplay, the cinematography, the performances of the entire cast, from the leads to the lesser characters. I recently rewatched it and realized how well-made it truly is. A cult classic, commercial, widely recognized, but underrated.

Dedicated to a singer and actress I have always felt very close to, who left us yesterday after three decades of fighting the most terrible of evils. Goodbye Sandra Dee.
