Most Anything You Want
Doug Igle's swaggering organ accompanies a song soaked in the psychedelia that reigned on the West Coast during that period; the track is part of the album for which The Butterflys are remembered, with the famous suite that, unfortunately, overshadows the other excellent tracks.
On the involuntary but useful suggestion of @[Lector] I am inaugurating the “ascoltensione,” that is, a sort of mini review of a single piece.

Tom Waits - "Pony"

Many of you won’t be interested in this story, others might, perhaps.
But bringing home a totally drunk friend, trying to convince him that at this hour biking in the pouring rain sent from above isn’t a good idea, I find to be a very satisfying challenge.
Especially because I was just as drunk as he was: but I had a car, he had a bike, and after seven license suspensions he’ll never be able to drive a car for the rest of his life.
He wanted nothing to do with my idea: “I’m biking home,” he tells me.
In the end, we reached a compromise.
He would take his bike to his ex-wife’s house—just two kilometers from where we’d been drinking heavily—and then I would drive him home.
Too bad I had not the faintest idea where the hell that woman lived.

I followed him up to a certain point: then he just vanished into the downpour.
Fuck!
I circled the block forty times: until he popped out in front of me, hitchhiking.
Pissed off, soaked like a porn star in heat: he said every curse in the book!

Why this story?
Because once I brought him home, I didn’t remember where I was—just two hundred meters from my own place.
It was my old Toyota Aygo that found the way home! lui: sapere: punto: volte: calore:

Laibach - Die Liebe
The experimental movement of the 70s was not immediately understood by the entire communist faction. After a concert overwhelmed by boos, Luigi Nono exclaimed: "Compagni! For the revolution we must use all the means of culture, the class struggle is a fact that demands commitment, we need all of our intelligence for the hegemony of the working class!" And it’s almost strange to write this beneath Laibach, who have always played with the aesthetics of the Ventennio.

The Memory
What can I say? Neo-soul was born with him.

Video Clip completo Terra in bocca
I didn't know it, someone had me listen to it a few weeks ago. Even with its flaws, I find it very interesting, especially considering that it's by I Giganti. But did anyone else remember it?

08 - sono contento di voi - Alberto Fortis (1979)

A little break from the garage while I listen to new stuff and revisit some old, stinky, drugged-up ones…

I put Albertino back on my USB stick

- VOLPINI VOLANTI - ( – CGD 16001 - 1984 - ) - FULL ALBUM New Orleans, Trio Lescano 50 years later. Among the first to use the Gemelli Cazzago: Drums and Guitars and Franco Cristaldi: bass both as a support band and during recording sessions—much to Alberto Fortis’s chagrin—was Faust'o for the album J'accuse...amore Mio. Betty Vittori, on the other hand, devoted herself to jazz and participated as a backing vocalist on some of Fortis's records. Then, together with Cristaldi and Dentes (guitars), she formed the Mercenaries (I couldn't find anything on YouTube).

During high school, the Gemelli Cazzago attended the same class as Diego Spagnoli (see Vasco Rossi). Diego was the organizer of WoodStocchetta 1980 and 81; at the parish youth club where I grew up, he was one of the most active members.
