400 Years (1973) - Bob Marley & The Wailers the deep sound, the roots, the powerful universal message of justice and redemption: in one word Bob Marley & The Wailers: already on the first album on Island the basic ingredients were very clear.

Sir Winston & The Commons - We're Gonna Love

The Montells - You Can't Make Me

It’s the excitement of a moment, maybe two. That’s why it works especially for a 45 RPM, often with titles and names distorted on the masters and labels of the vinyl. Further confirmation of a carelessness that dominated every phase of the process. For many others, it won’t work at all, stopping at the limited space and finances of a demo tape, a reel, a cassette.”

A Natural Man

Natural Man

I said that after a delightful outing we would return to the maxima creature (alongside the Gories). The most interesting, diverse, and lasting. So, returning to the encyclopedic double album, the first side (already listened to) was made up of original stuff, while the second was filled with majestic covers this time of all kinds: the usual beloved Black, tributes to friends and contemporaneous brainless colleagues, pop, and various knick-knacks in the style of Michelino.

Friends and fellow Garage enthusiasts, psychedelic, psycho(labile), angry and disdainful, dedicated to onanism and any exquisite vice that can satisfy our Noble primal instincts … let’s gather around this NeGro and do ourselves some good …

The Standells - Rari

The Essential Albums: “DIRTY WATER” (b)

“Rare, another Cobb number is an expansive psychedelic ballad...
The experience gained over the past years in dance halls getting sixteen-year-olds or conscripted soldiers to shake their hips allows the Standells of Dirty Water to exploit the heterogeneous nature of the tracklist to make it their Trojan horse to break through the doors of the charts.”
