The first track extracted from LOVE OVER GOLD was PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS, a perfect synthesis of refined pop and atmospheric sound that many didn't immediately grasp, considering the differences with the catchy songs that made MAKING MOVIES a globally successful album. Thirty-five years after its release, the single remains, along with much of the Dire Straits' discography, a slightly different facet among the historic tracks of the English band, able to age gracefully while still remaining relevant.
