The Doors - Hyacinth House [HQ] "Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road" (57) "I'd like a new friend who doesn't bore me, who doesn't annoy me," "I'd like someone I don't serve"... it's likely that Morrison expresses, once again, how strong the desire was to shed the skin of the Lizard King. In reality, Jim had indeed changed even physically; that beautiful, cursed boy had given way to a young-old overweight man, with a long beard, bored and lost. "I see the bathroom is free," he says... indeed, during those rehearsals, the bathroom was "our echo chamber," Bill Siddons. Jim sang, almost always, from the noble toilet. An unusually graceful piece in the music, but with a sad soul. Here I note how incredibly Morrison's voice has changed in such a short time.
