The Doors- Cars Hiss By My Window "Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road" (54) The Doors were unique for their absolutely recognizable sound, no matter what they played. Even in the Blues, they perfectly embodied this characteristic. The warmth of the sound in this track seems to reflect the sense of camaraderie that had returned among the band members in those days. The last of the songs to draw inspiration from the legendary notebooks of Venice '65. "I remember walking in and finding John, Ray, and Robby already playing for a bit; then Jim came in, big, messy, and a little drunk. It was thrilling to watch them play old blues, and when they got caught up in the music, they were still capable of exceptional things. They were more than ever a great band.
