"Dangerous" can be considered the last, great album of the "King of Pop".
According to critics, Michael Jackson never managed to reach the creative heights of "Thriller" again, and indeed they are right, but this is definitely a fascinating album as it is favored by many fans, including myself. It can be considered the perfect entertainment record! 14 songs that perfectly traverse pop history and create an irresistible desire to whistle their melodies.
The album is marked as 1991 and is accompanied by extraordinary advertising for the time... Michael Jackson, akin to Coca-Cola, is the best-exported American product in the world. The record opens with four missile-like tracks... tinged with hip-hop-funk and r n' b, a style that Jacko himself would call jack-swing. The first song "Jam" and the next three: "Why You Wanna Trip On Me," "In The Closet," and "She Drives Me Wild" immerse the listener in a dance-crazy atmosphere to which even the toughest wooden logs can't help but dance. Then the fifth song "Remember The Time" takes us away with fantasy, carried by the voice of the King Of Pop; dreamlike atmospheres created by unique music. Then there's possibly the least successful passage of the album "Can't Let Her Away," which with a style too futuristic and confused, makes those who until that point were listening to an almost perfect album raise an eyebrow. Then the album continues with "Heal The World," a ballad in perfect Jackson style, reminding us that everyone has a heart and needs to help others; then with a perfect vocal interpretation combined with the mastery of guitarist Slash, we have the real hit of the album "Black Or White," the true success of the album still among the most broadcasted on the radio today. Then the rest of the album continues with the ballads "Will You Be There" and "Gone Too Soon" and the bizarre mix of gospel and bubble-rock "Keep The Faith," particular but successful; I saved for last the two true masterpieces of the most underrated album in history: "Who Is It," an extraordinary song for its musicality, rhythm, and above all, moving vocal interpretation, then the title track "Dangerous" sharp and sinister, a concentrate of 100% Jackson-style.
Thus concludes a record with hints of rock, funk, r n' b, rap, and pop without being any of it, a record that sold millions of copies and can be considered Jackson's last total masterpiece... "a pendulum capable of hypnotizing and gathering more than twenty million people into the basket..." this is "Dangerous," this is Michael Jackson.
Dangerous is a colossal pile of crap extending over 12 songs and more, also known as the musical demise of the pedophile.
Thank you, filthy pedophile, for stirring up the discussion with my girlfriend.
Imagine you turn on the stereo to relax after the classic crappy day, and you start to feel the singer’s soul flowing through your body.
"Heal the World" is incredible—the feeling of peace it gives you is unmatched, a true hymn to world peace.
It almost seems that after the separation, Mike lost his gritty 80s style to make way for the softer style that inevitably worsened over time.
Could it be the beginning of the decline?
This is certainly the best pop music album from 1991 until today.
'Heal the World' is one of the most beautiful songs in music history, it’s a moving piece.
Michael Jackson’s best album. And that should suffice.
'Who Is It' is a MASTERPIECE full of mystery, harmony, and emotional depth.
