Who else would have the guts to release so many 20-minute suites or publish an unreleased double-CD these days?!

Adam & Eve extends the streak of excellent albums produced by Stolt and company and is highly recommended.

This review praises The Flower Kings' 2004 album Adam & Eve for its symphonic progressive rock style, memorable vocals, and epic compositions. The band blends 70s prog influences with fusion, pop, folk, and metal. Despite some controversy among fans, the album is regarded as a strong and consistent entry in their discography, featuring notable contributions from new vocalist Daniel Gildenlow and enhanced keyboard presence. Listen to Adam & Eve now and experience the epic world of The Flower Kings' progressive rock mastery!

"It is quite possibly the best metal music since Opeth’s 'Morningrise' (1996)."

"The work is very complex and well-textured, yet at the same time extremely accessible from the first listen."

This review praises Green Carnation's 2001 album 'Light of Day, Day of Darkness' as a monumental progressive metal masterpiece. The album features a single 60-minute track combining death, doom, and gothic influences with progressive arrangements. Complex, layered, and richly produced, it is compared favorably to landmark albums by Opeth, Symphony X, and Rhapsody. The reviewer encourages metal fans to explore fresh and innovative music beyond mainstream favorites. Listen to this epic 60-minute progressive metal journey and discover why Green Carnation’s Light of Day, Day of Darkness is a modern classic.

Lodin is, in my opinion, one of the top 5 singers currently present on the global hard rock scene.

It should be listened to at full volume!

Baltimoore's eighth album, Fanatical, showcases the band's signature blend of hard and melodic rock. Bjorn Lodin's remarkable vocals stand out alongside powerful guitar work. The album delivers energetic, direct hard rock with no unnecessary embellishments. The reviewer highly recommends Fanatical both for new listeners and longtime fans. Certain tracks like the title song and 'Gimme What You've Got' deserve special attention. Listen to Baltimoore's Fanatical now and experience top-tier hard rock energy and soaring vocals!

Virtually no catchy melodies in Metanoia, just about an hour of Floydian experimentation featuring laudable guitar solos and keyboards with a pronounced electronic sound.

Even when Wilson ventures into unknown and rugged territories, there is always a sense of completeness and order in what is happening.

Metanoia, released by Porcupine Tree in 2001, revisits unreleased jams from their mid-90s Signify sessions. The album embraces a Floydian space rock style with long psychedelic tracks and experimental guitar work. It's a rewarding listen for Steven Wilson's original fans but may be too adventurous for newcomers. The album showcases Wilson's underrated guitar talent and offers a cohesive yet explorative journey into progressive rock. Dive into Metanoia and experience Porcupine Tree's psychedelic space rock masterpiece from Steven Wilson's early years!

I truly enjoyed how Moliti’s growl and Carlsson’s sweet voice blend together to create a tangle of emotions that alternate between violent parts and calm moments.

From what I have heard... I find that in this debut work by Dark Empire, there are the potentialities to certainly do well in the future.

Dark Empire's debut album Distant Tides impresses with energetic power and progressive metal fused with virtuosic guitar solos and dynamic vocals. Although relatively short with six lengthy tracks, the album displays strong musicianship and complexity reminiscent of respected bands like Symphony X and Blind Guardian. The blend of aggressive growls and melodic singing creates a compelling emotional mix. The review highlights the band's potential for future success and urges attention from metal fans and distributors alike. Explore Dark Empire's Distant Tides to experience a powerful blend of progressive and power metal mastery!

"Pain Of Salvation might very well be the first prog-metal band since the early '70s to attract fans beyond the prog genre."

"Daniel’s voice is difficult to describe; he is definitely one of the most versatile and multi-dimensional singers of all time."

Pain Of Salvation's 'One Hour By The Concrete Lake' is a landmark prog-metal album blending emotional depth with cerebral themes. Inspired by the radioactive Lake Karachay disaster, it combines complex musicality and socially conscious lyrics. Daniel Gildenlow’s versatile vocals stand out, delivering a unique experience compared to typical prog-metal bands. Although it may require multiple listens, this album is considered a mature and influential work in its genre. Listen to 'One Hour By The Concrete Lake' and experience one of prog-metal’s most emotionally powerful and conceptually rich albums.

"Whether you love or hate them (and many will hate them), you cannot ignore 'Scarsick.'"

"There's an incredible abundance of bitter cynicism, and the sensation that these lyrics come from deep within him is evident."

Scarsick by Pain Of Salvation is a complex and emotionally charged progressive metal album that continues the band's trend toward experimental and politically infused music. Daniel Gildenlow's anger and deep lyricism are strongly felt throughout, polarizing listeners. While some fan favorites may be lost with the band's evolving sound, the album remains a captivating and ambitious work. Despite its controversies, Scarsick is praised for its depth and musical innovation. Dive into Scarsick’s bold progressive sounds and decide if you love or hate this unforgettable Pain Of Salvation journey.

The suite, reflecting the theme of The Odyssey, alternates ‘calm’ moments with ‘hard’ ones, all masterfully highlighted by Allen’s voice and Romeo’s guitar.

Mr. Allen manages (in my opinion) to even surpass Dio in this work!

The Odyssey by Symphony X is hailed as a splendid prog-metal album that surpasses their previous works in heaviness and complexity. Featuring epic classical influences and a 24-minute suite based on Homer’s Odyssey, the album showcases Michael Romeo’s masterful guitar and Russell Allen’s powerful vocals. The production quality is top-notch, and the rhythm section delivers impressive technicality. This album marks a high point in Symphony X's career and is essential listening for prog-metal fans. Dive into Symphony X’s The Odyssey—listen now to experience this prog-metal masterpiece firsthand!

"Disconnected is a challenging and difficult album to understand... but it turns out to be dangerously perfect and also contains millions of variations and nuances on the theme."

"When you finish listening to 'Still Remains', you will be shocked and speechless."

Fates Warning's 'Disconnected' presents seven complex, emotionally charged tracks showcasing Jim Matheos' intricate songwriting and the band's exceptional musicianship. Ray Alder's vocals and lyrics shine, while Mark Zonder and Joey Vera provide a solid, dynamic rhythm section. Kevin Moore's keyboards add depth and texture, enhancing the album's experimental and progressive nature. Although challenging at first, 'Disconnected' rewards listeners with its layered and intense musical experience. Dive into Fates Warning's 'Disconnected' and experience one of prog-metal's most intricate and emotional albums today!

"Entropia marks the entrance of one of the most innovative bands in the prog-metal field."

This concept album immerses us in the torment and pain of war, crying out against its true nonsense.

Pain Of Salvation’s debut album 'Entropia' showcases a raw, innovative blend of prog-metal with funk and rock influences. It features complex themes, including war and societal critique, delivered through multidimensional vocals and cohesive musicianship. The album reveals Daniel Gildenlow’s early musical genius and pushes boundaries with its intricate structures and emotional depth. Fans of progressive metal will find a challenging yet rewarding listening experience rich in hidden meanings. Dive into Pain Of Salvation’s 'Entropia' to experience a prog-metal journey full of emotion, innovation, and thought-provoking themes.
