Nell'aria (feat. Pisk & Four On Six Band)
Now,
Your memory of me flies in my mind
Chills on the pixels of a black and white photo
I try to find that expression in me again
Again
Feel,
I know you can hear me even with your eyes closed
My scream doesn’t wake you but reaches your heart
Love
I would like a voice
That can travel far from this silence
That can break the walls of time and space in a moment
That can reach beyond the sky and find you up there
Where you are an angel
Now, I ask for nothing more
Life,
You understand its meaning only when you’ve lost it
I hold your soft smile between my fingers.
It’s a smile that will now last forever
It soars in the air
I would like a voice
That can travel far from this silence
That can break the walls of time and space in a moment
That can reach beyond the sky and find you up there
Where you are an angel
Now, I ask for nothing more
Now,
Your memory of me brushes my mind
Chills and words I thought and didn’t say
And they vibrate in my throat perhaps only now
Now

“In the air is a song born for a friend I lost. It’s tied to the earthquake in L’Aquila on April 6, 2009, shortly after my first participation in Sanremo. I often perform it at my concerts, but it was no longer available online. I decided to record it again with a new production and make it available just for this occasion” - Simona Molinari, Neapolitan by birth but Aquilan by adoption.

To not forget this tragedy that deeply affected all of us Abruzzese (and not only) on the occasion of the sixteenth anniversary of this sad event.

Edoardo Bennato - Specchio Delle Mie Brame

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Tell me who’s the best in the realm, ha ha ha
There’s a rival around who makes everyone sway
All with a rhythm, ah
Always the same, cold, almost unnatural
This doubt haunts me, who is it?
Electronic machine
Efficiency and logic
You can't compete
It's a pointless race
Rhythmic perfection
The reigning champion
Is a calculator that
Is worth much more than you
Mirror, mirror on the wall
I cannot resign myself, ah ha ha
I’m willing to do anything to return
Just to first place, ah
Tell me, tell me, what’s the price to pay
I’ll give you everything you want
Fever of music
First in the charts
Nothing impossible
Like in fairy tales
A magic phrase
Unique opportunity
My price is simple
I want your soul
For that applause I would receive
I would pay any price
Tomorrow the whole city, just my dance
Will dance
Beyond all limits
Outside the rules
To hold you tight
To take you in
Unique opportunity
A magic phrase
Nothing impossible
Like in fairy tales
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Mirror, mirror
Mirror, mirror
Mirror, mirror on the wall

The eternal struggle of the artist between remaining true to oneself, even at the cost of not selling or selling little, or altering oneself and "commercializing" to sell more, even including one’s own soul.
And also the battle "electronic vs analog."
Both destined (perhaps) to remain unanswered...

Edoardo Bennato - Le Vie Del Rock Sono Infinite
#copertinebelle
Okay, you can say all the bad things possible about this album from 2010 (you, not me obviously) if you want, but you can't deny the beauty of the cover. And if you don't recognize it, too bad for you!
It seems that the mentioned cover is the work of Bennato himself, so much so that the more benevolent have advised him to stop immediately with the songs and dedicate himself completely to drawing...
