Duncan Sheik - Barely Breathing (Official Video)

I know what you're thinking
It's clear to me now
The taste too bitter
Of your tears
Talking about a star
You said, "Don't go away"
But the black holes down there
Are malfunctioning stars… (Fabi's version)

Well, tonight you will go out and stay out late, very late, you'll be with friends and have a blast, or you'll be with little kids and still have a blast chasing them or playing among bouncy castles, ball pool, various beach games. You’ll come home still excited and adrenaline-fueled but not enough to indulge in sensual cuddling (you might think about that tomorrow morning early).

SO: there’s no better moment to enjoy in peace another superb blaxploitation film:
BLACULA, 1972 - directed by William Crain, featuring the theatrical actor William Marshall as Prince Mamuwalde/Blacula alongside Vonetta McGee as his beloved.

While the plot follows the classic Dracula in a police-style narrative, set in modern Los Angeles, the rest, including actors, sets, and costumes, is very much of the black community. The horror special effects are somewhat rudimentary and at times embarrassing, but maybe that’s part of its charm in their authenticity.

The soundtrack is obviously not gothic but wonderfully funk (and soul), perhaps less impactful than the OST of Coffy but pulsating and well-executed.
I'll leave you the link to the movie (it says Deutsch but it’s in English):

Then I'll leave you the link to the soundtrack by Gene Page:
Blacula (1972) Original Soundtrack Complete
and a song performed in the film by The Hues Corporation: There He Is Again, beautiful and danceable.

I won’t say much because all of this is the result of last night's viewing. Whoever knows more will tell me. Kisses ;)
In winter, especially around Christmas, the desire to stay at home and watch some classics (Trading Places, Home Alone, Polar Express & Co. …) is strong. In the summer, however, in the height of August, there’s the sea, the mountains, and outdoor relaxation in general.

Of course, there's work too, for those lucky enough to enjoy the famous smart vacations in October/November and February/March (my envy is constructive, not destructive XD).

For those who want to spend a bit less than two hours on the couch or in their bed with the air conditioning blasting or the fan running at full speed, dressed exclusively in old, faded, and elastic-less underwear, I recommend watching Coffy, from 1973, directed by Jack Hill, a cult classic from the blaxploitation era, featuring the superb Pam Grier as the vengeful nurse against a corrupt and corrupting black mafia.

Among fans of ’70s black music, one of the albums that’s a must-have in collections is the OST by Roy Ayers.

I won’t explain more about the plot so as not to ruin the effect, I’ll just leave you with a line spoken by Coffy/Pam before one of her revengeful acts: “This is the end of your rotten life, you motherfuckin' dope pusher!”

(I hope it doesn't get flagged for some nudity)
