With a bit of delay, but in the summer I also enjoy doing a Sabbatical Nothing, while thanking the friends from De-cuore who suggested many valid titles to me (which I will keep in mind for future viewings), in the end I decided to close the small Blaxploitation triptych with this film that loosely ties together the first two released (Coffy and Blacula): Scream Blacula Scream!
The movie is nothing more than a hastily thrown together sequel to Blacula, featuring the same William Marshall as the resurrected vampire brought back to life through a voodoo ritual.
The common point with Coffy, on the other hand, is only her, the protagonist of both films, the beautiful Pam Grier, although in Scream Blacula Scream her performance is honestly not one of her best.
I still tried to honor this film by searching for some gems in Bill Marx's soundtrack, but from the Tube I couldn’t pull out any bats from its cave except for the opening theme. So, was it a waste of time? Never! Never! Never!
