Jaco Pastorius & Toots Thielemans - Sophisticated Lady

Anything, by chance, to say?
Do we sample them to make "something else"?

Maximo Park - Our Velocity

I know you all think that Radiofreccia is cheesy & lowbrow.
But after a zipperless hookup - not in the sense of the one who was afraid of flying (Erica Jong, I believe) - but in the sense that I forgot to open it, this reflection on the speed of us guys was quite enjoyable to listen to on that radio afterwards.
For me, it's a great piece that I enthusiastically played for everyone when it came out: without any real context, of course.

But since that Milf told me - after what I think was quite a performance:
"Is that all you can do?" – I've never had performance anxiety again.
What will be, will be!
Tomorrow is another day.

P.S. I've told this story already, I know.
But I don't think it was associated with this great piece. Yuk!

Elvis Presley - Hound Dog (The Steve Allen Show)

Children: THIS is lamérica.
Then as now: a people of idiots governed by an idiot (the Noble Count teaches us) and his two testicles that maneuver him: that is, Elon Musk and Susie Wiles.
The former in a full delirium of omnipotence, the latter even more dangerous: she seems like the harmless lady knitting, but instead has a first-rate brain, devoid of any trace of empathy.
I look forward, with pleasure, to the explosion!!!

Rose Su Rose (2001 Remaster)

Nothing special, I love this piece, even though I hate Mina, whom I find too good to give me emotion.
But here that little high note gives me chills.
Because it justifies the song, it doesn't reflect it.

The Triceratops will be wagging its tail.
Like Muttley: "ice cream ice cream ice cream!!!"

Barbra Streisand - Woman In Love ~ With Lyrics

Completely immersed in "Songs Of A Lost World" – which is an album that wants to tell me something, even if I don’t understand why for now – I need something to distract me.
So, let me share my usual, personal, quirky little story about this MASTERPIECE.

When the song was released, the singer (I love playing with women: they bring out the best, if they’re good) insisted that I execute that guitar intro perfectly, as if it were the easiest thing in the world.
Oh no, damn it!
Easy as hell!

So I went to my trusted dealer – he has perfect pitch – and asked him how I could reproduce those seventeen guitars with my little, tiny hands.

"Simple," he says (sharp), "you need a Multi-Octaver!"
Which was one of those little pedal boxes, like Fuzz,
that back then nobody quite understood how and why they worked.
One hundred fifty thousand lira! Damn!

I won’t even mention the frustration, me who can’t even change a light bulb, trying to configure that bizarre gadget!

Yet, when a guitarist who knows what he's doing meets a damn multi-octaver, that multi-octaver is an instrument that must obey!

It took me a week, but when I played the riff for the Boss, she said: "not bad; but add some echo."

So, can you understand?

Fortunately, Trump won and so did Inter.
Both played badly, what can I say.

P.S. I adore the Cure.

The Cure - Alone (Official Lyric Video)

This is the end of every song that we sing.

In short, I didn’t want to hear any excerpts, singles, samples or whatever from this album. Because that’s just the way I am: an LP must be listened to in its entirety - the first time - with no preconceived notions.

Now I HAVE to buy it on vinyl, because the sound didn’t convince me, even though that’s just my issue: despite the Bose system connected to my beloved iMac, it seemed dirty, muddy, poorly defined. Stupidomarco.

By the third listen, everything became clear to me. Crystal clear. It’s my old ears that are no longer used to it. Not good. VERY not good.

Ah: I don’t know if anyone here has reviewed it. It seems not. I’m eagerly waiting!

Ruggero de I Timidi - Torna! ...a Udine (Video Ufficiale)

Here it is: now that I've got my groove back (thanks to @[THEM]), I was able to post this masterpiece - with the endorsement of the Noble @Falloppio, who was lucky enough to play with the Artist! - and I had been terrified that you wouldn’t be able to listen to it.
This piece is about my city; which is Nuovaiorca, not this "Udine" I’ve never heard of! Haw!

Michael Jackson - Thriller (Official 4K Video)

This is the only thing that makes me think of allouínne without making me feel nauseous. Once, in the early days of the goddamn proto-party, it was mandatory for us musicians to wear Make-Up too.

In charge of make-up and hair was a slender creature who, years later, would become the mother of my daughter. A sweet little trick, which turned out really well (it's not just me saying it).

Oh: we didn't play this, but "Billie Jean". Yuk!

Ruggero de I Timidi - Perdere l'Amore (Video)

This guy over at Nobile @[Falloppio] cleans up the house.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts Vi-Ix)

So, how do you test this chocolate, not exactly Swiss?
I came up with this.
Boomshiva! Ahr ahr ahr!

Jokes aside, this piece is what truly took me away.
I didn't exactly know how to play, but when I heard Davidino's slide reach those heights, I understood everything.

I would also be quite curious, but I don't know if Domenico & Cristiano can be compared to those other two cops over there.
And anyway, if necessary, I will go buy the ticket at the old, dear "box office," if it still exists.
I don't trust my life expectancy at all. Gawrsc!

Maiden Of The Cancer Moon

Ah, so if the bar closes at 3 (three) I still have an hour to drink, what the hell!
Long live standard time!
Or whatever the hell it is.

The miss here tells me she likes Bukowski.
And that it’s the right time.
Who am I to argue with her? Yuk!

This is an UNACCEPTABLE insult to the dignity of the Noble Semidio (the whole god is @[G], everyone knows it) destroyer of carriages.
What Egyptian cologne?!
There is only one, unique AQVA in the created DeBasico universe, for goodness' sake!

Do I have to tell you - I say - what it is?

What the hell!

Forgive (her and the triceratops) them; for they do not know what they do.

KING CRIMSON - Frame By Frame

You don't know, do you?, what it means to see Adriano playing this... thing two meters away.

I've already told my story, here, many times, but that’s not what I was eager to say. It was the outfit that shocked me.

A cream gabardine suit by Armani, exuding a soft elegance worn with a slouchy flair. I would have never expected such sophistication from someone so slippery.

Then he picks up the drill and starts to play. Not even the Sonic Youth!

Holy hell, what a guitarist!!!

I just updated the operating system and this came up.

Beautiful, let's be clear, crystal clear.

But it seems to me that these @Them are beings who do not enjoy manifesting their subliminal witticisms to the DePeople: and I quite like that.
Because you can't just give science away to the people if you don't want to catch the same disease.
Especially for free. Yuk!

Drupi - Piccola e fragile

After "Sereno è" - a masterpiece that is indelibly marked in my mind - another great piece from Il Pescatore.
Back then, I didn't know what Soul was, but I understood that that voice had something inherently Black; and that the seemingly basic choir had very little of white in it.
He is someone who has always remained true to himself: simply great.

Ah: and where do we place "Vado via," huh?

My friend Liliana has taken a liking to umbrellas.

link rotto

Do you know, you, the author of this wonder?
It reminds me of something, but right now I'm in Frasca: and here no one can remember anything.
If not, indeed, the Great Nothing.

If I mention Ellroy, they will throw me out of the ground floor!

Blondie - One Way Or Another (1978) • TopPop

Look at Debbie's mouth when she says "Gheccia Gheccia Gheccia". Whether you're boys or girls, if that "Gheccia" doesn't turn you on, it means you need a mental health evaluation.

Canzone Di Notte N.2 (Remastered 2007)

Not exactly my Marijuana Browning (you can find the recipe on #vuvuvunelculolapigliitu) but, damn, what a piece!

Fiorella Mannoia - Sempre e per sempre

Not everyone likes Fiorella, maybe because of her red hair and not just that, or perhaps not just for that reason.
But certain things - like "Sally" - she makes look almost easy, even though they aren't.

I chose her version because while watching the match of the young sinner against the evader, with a devastating outfit - by the way - (a Flush-Orange tank top that clashed with the purple field) the ad for the Prince who joined Enel kicked in.

Disheartening.
I mean, even if done well, that piece is dedicated to his wife, who is no longer here and whom he loved very much.

But the Noble par excellence is right @[IlConte]: humanity has become a mixture of bad odors and foul-smelling feet.

Oh well.

You Might Need Somebody

Has anyone ever spent words for the sweet Randy?
This track, with that RMC sound, drives me crazy.
Pop, R&B, Easy Listening… you choose.
It's nice to come home accompanied by her.

Remember, Noble @[sfascia carrozze], who cited me as a well-informed good person (me excluded, of course) regarding the universe of "Star Trek"? And who placed Sulu - who is a helmsman - in the role of Scotty, chief engineer and true Deus ex machina of the transporter?
Here he is, in this beautiful advertisement that can be admired in the best spaceports across the entire galaxy. 🖖
