[kosmogabri: Molko's flaw is being a bit of a smirker (others would say arrogant). No wonder he is highly admired in France, where they are experts in smirking] well, what can I say, you're right... more than right! Now I understand why they have such a huge following in France.

I wrote this review at the time of the album's release, one of the first I've ever written. I decided to include it because I noticed that this album was missing on de-baser.it among the ones by Placebo. The most beautiful track is "Taste in Men," different from all the others and truly captivating. I understand that many find Placebo irritating, especially the attitude of the singer-guitarist Brian Molko!

Hi Sebastiano, okay I've thought it over and I'm giving it a 3.5 because it really was a pretentious album, at least from my perspective. I actually prefer their second album, Pornograffiti, because it sounds more natural and less cerebral to me. Well, that's my humble opinion!

The review is a bit hasty and gets lost in praise instead of better "explaining" the album, which I bought back then and re-listened to a few months ago.

Great review, lucky you that this album communicates something to you... it only made me want to cut my veins, but since I'm not the type to do that, I got rid of this CD and now I feel better.

Wow Kosmo, you’re a real de-Bignami! Now that we know everything, what more do we want from life?? A nice Keziah at our house serenading us! I’d like to point out "Liquid Sunshine," a CD by Keziah from a few years ago that I own and enjoy. Long live Keziah Jones, he's great, he even performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival!
