Oasis (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
Voto:
90s shopping list, personal and not in order of preference: Slint - Spiderland, My Bloody Valentine - Loveless, Alice in Chains - self-titled, Mercury Rev - Yerself is Steam, Jeff Buckley - Grace, Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun... ah Tool - Aenima! I could name at least twenty more, but I’ll stop here, then... de gustibus!

Mamma mia, what are my ears hearing, utterly forgettable 90s... maybe you only scratched the surface of the 90s... what were you listening to, Corona and the Take That ? :) Revisit them, because there was more than just Nirvana and Oasis in those Fabulous Nineties.
An album that, in its simplicity, has characterized a nice period of my life; musically it would rate a 3, but for sentimental value it's a 5, so I'll average it out... I copied and pasted the paragraph because it's exactly what I would have wanted to write!

In the UK, this is INDIE ROCK, I know because I've been there a lot and I've danced to these bands; if you want to consider them pop rock, that's fine, but if you tell me that indie is something else, I accept that, since in the UK indie is now anything that picks up a Fender and plays it copying The Clash... but I assure you it's considered indie and not pop rock.

Well, yes, that's how it is... when he takes off his glasses, it’s truly chilling... but what surprises me, in front of such a miserable physical state, is the presence of his singing; it seems almost like he makes a minimal effort, yet the voice is always stunning... I swear that a few years ago I was really an obsessed fan, now I'm trying to stop, but they remain certainly one of the most important bands of all time for me... bye!

To me, hypnotic doesn’t say anything at all.. it’s a reworking of grunge melodies with some creative peaks, especially in the first part of the cd.. hypnotic are Tool, who share ONLY the sublime voice of Maynard with APC.

I'm re-evaluating it... negatively... vicarious is terrible... it only has a nice crescendo ending that that little jerk Maynard completely skipped over at the concert in London... 33 pounds to hear 7 songs from the new album and only 2 from lateralus... Keenan, unfortunately, is losing his voice in an irreversible way; I don't expect 27 seconds of screaming like in "the grudge," but 15 would be nice :)

I'm sorry, but I absolutely disagree with the "weak whisper" of Layne during the unplugged session... the Lucifer-like voice is still very much there, and I wouldn't let myself be deceived by the less-than-glamorous appearance of the little angel... Layne once again shows that he had an astonishing ease in singing; his voice seemed almost "rested," yet it produced a very powerful sound... But do you know how long it took me to get my Alice t-shirt back in high school? :)

I'll tell you, I enjoyed it, although calling the setlist "original" is an understatement, and the acoustics could certainly have been better. In short, from what I consider the absolute masterpiece of the band, Lateralus, the guys only played two songs! The perhaps most intense moment was indeed "forty six and two," even from an acoustic standpoint (emotional, really). Then I didn't take well the concert's closing, with two songs that, although good, weren't worth proposing live: "vicarious," perhaps a title more beautiful than the song itself, which I consider a bit of a confused cliché of Tool's music; and finally, "aenima," which I really don't like, it seems to me like a consolation prize for the less critical fans... Give me "the Grudge," "the Patient," "Pushit," anything but vicarious. My 10 goes to the rhythm section, Danny and Justin guided the concert from start to finish, with a drums that seemed to flow naturally from Carey’s movements, but concealed a very intricate web of beats... really impressive! Has anyone heard about a new tour in November? 'ta luego
