Papa Roach Getting Away With Murder
Voto:
Oh my God, I don’t know what to say. The Paramour Sessions continues the path of Getting Away With Murder. The first three tracks are quite "tight," very much in the style of Getting Away With Murder. They must have put them there to grab some attention, since the rest of the album is filled with half-ballads reminiscent of "Scars," interspersed with a few more rock moments ("I DeWise My Own Demise" and "No More Secrets"). The times of Infest and LHT are light years away, trust me. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad album; on the contrary, the melodies, as per PR tradition, are quite catchy, even if they are easy to digest. A decent album, but I was expecting something more ("To Be Loved" had made me hopeful). PS: I've only had it for a short while, so my judgment may change.

A good album, dark, gloomy, even if very distant from the rap-metal of Infest. The review is good too. Welcome!

And you ask me that? I've even reviewed them ;)

Well, I'll tell you, I really love the single as well, but unfortunately, it has little or nothing to do with the rest of the album. I would have been fine with an album like Lovehatetragedy, but sadly, that's not the case; this is much more similar to Getting Away With Murder, maybe even more pop-rock and melodious. But in the end, it's not bad, I just expected something more. As for Linkin Park, I can't stand them, there's nothing I can do about it, and hearing them labeled as Nu Metal really gives me the chills. But if you dig them, good for you ;)

Oh God, seeing the name Linkin Park next to Nu Metal always gives me chills. Anyway, don't expect too much from the new Papa Roach, it's in line with the previous one. The days of Infest are long gone.

I only heard "Superman" and every time it made my knees weak... Good review...

Well... They don't really impress me much. Angels And Airwaves, Tom's second side project, is way better.

damn it, what a cutting comment!
Machine Head Burn My Eyes

Roots was released in 1996. Okay, I know piracy has made huge strides since then, but for you to have heard an album that came out two years before its release seems a bit much. Anyway, great album, one of the best examples of post-thrash. Moreover, one of the best-selling debut albums from RoadRunner. And of course, great Machine Head, as always!
