  Very personal ranking, with some huge names: Lynch, Scorsese, Cronenberg, and Kubrick are among my absolute favorites, then I quite like Aronofsky and, above all, Nolan. I need to explore the Coen brothers and Van Sant more, while Tarantino is, for me, vastly overrated (but the "Pulp Fiction" you mentioned along with "Reservoir Dogs" is a great film). I like Fincher but I'm not particularly crazy about his movies (though "Seven" is stunning).
