I saw them a couple of years ago opening for another band. The singer is the DJ Ariele from rockfm, and the band plays rather simplistic music, like Green Day sung in Italian (actually, Milanese). Quite bland.

@leonid: in 1981-82, the hardcore that MDC played could already be defined as "thrash," although later the influence would become even more pronounced. As for the Descendents, I agree with you (they are more pervaded by a "teenage anger" than by nihilism). @pretazzo: yes, DRI were more powerful and musically diverse, but they themselves had been influenced by MDC. John Wayne = Minutemen style... you know you’re right? I had never noticed that before. @barrosismo: they also played at the CSOA near my house in the early '90s. Unfortunately, at the time I wasn't aware/appreciative and I missed the big concert, but this summer I made up for it. I was in London and, completely by chance, I found out they were playing at a venue in Camden Town. I couldn’t miss them! They did a European tour with the original lineup (skipping Italy, of course).

Awesome! "Porto Dio" is one of the best tracks on the album (I Predatori dell'arca madonna), even though "Ho rotto il culo a dio" (based on the 883's "rotta per casa di dio") is equally impressive. Great choice, now you could review one of their albums in full, damn it!
