The "political" themes addressed by Plato arise at the very moment the concept of democracy is born, along with everything it implies. I just believe that, compared to today, we can no longer adopt Plato's point of view, that's all ;)

thirdeye, it's not that we talk nonsense here; if I say it, it's because I've read those so-called Platonic bullshit, and it seemed light-years away from modern thought, period. It may be interesting, but nowadays Plato's ideas strike me as unsustainable—not just for the 2000 years and more of philosophy that have passed before us. That doesn't take away from their cultural value and blablabla, but... :D
