Larrok: I've never heard these Ganger! Where do they come from? Gae: start with this one because it's the most approachable, then go back to "Millions now living will never die" and "TNT" ;)

@Ugly panda: A "drinking and national geographic" album makes me a bit uneasy :D Actually, your analysis seems quite spot on. In "It's all...", I really felt like I was indulging in a cosmic self-congratulatory fluff, and after all, as you say, the Tortoise are not just any average band and they know quite a lot, but precisely this "knowing a lot" risked ruining them, a thing that fortunately didn't happen. I agree about the boring post-rockers!

So, after TNT I think the Tortoise have somewhat gotten stuck in a "weary," heavy style. Sure, no missteps, but avoidable lapses in taste. Let’s say if those albums were meant to lead to this, then welcome it :D The album seems quite connected to "Millions...", reinterpreted in a more "pop" and updated way to 2009. But it doesn’t smell of rotten fish; it oozes liquid energy. Regarding "The brave and the bold," I've put a stone over it hehe... thanks everyone for the comments!

I still read Dylan Dog and Ratman, and I feel happy that way. About censorship: back in the day, they even censored Sailor Moon, just imagine this!

They were liked by my desk buddy in fourth grade, and I didn't mind them either. Yeah, well, they’re fine at 14, but after that, enough...
