THE REVIEW

Oh, beautiful ziuz!

I wanted to talk about this album, right?, which is the end of that former big band Articolo 31!

But come on, they totally sold out!

Already after "Strade di città" (the only truly awesome album, yo yo!) they kept going downhill... that's what the gang says, because I only listened to that album and the cool tracks that the radio played! But it's clear that if you used to sing (or have your backup singers sing) "FOLLOW THE TRANQUI FUNKY MOVEMENTS" on a complete dance disco beat and now you make an album where you dare to put electric guitars on which (singing yourself) you tell Moratti to go to hell... well, it seems clear to me that you're a sellout!

Electric guitars??????? You're supposed to do hip-hop! Don't like hip-hop anymore? Do hip-hop anyway! You started like this and now you die like this! But don't you see Baglioni???

Not to mention that you have to talk about the street, not about money, drugs, or whatever you feel like because you're an artist and the songs are yours! You absolutely have to talk about the street!!!!! Period! You can't come out saying that life isn't a movie, that you don't want to live like puppets and follow mom's program, or that Dj Ax singing with his little brother, the other unlucky guy from Gemelli DiVersi, about their brotherly relationship! You have to be a gangsta, and if you're not, what the hell do you sing about your life? Make it up! Or sing me (or have your backup singers sing me) "oh Maria I love you" so I can listen and get blown away! What do you start singing for since you're a rapper? Are you a rapper? Then rap!

If not, you're a sellout! You're doing it for the money... and then how much did those two sell with rap? On average 200,000 copies per album (with a maximum of 600,000 with "così com'è")? But get smart and keep doing that, why change genres if then you don't sell anymore... (hold on, I think I've lost the plot.....)

Anyway, I haven't listened to the album but trust me it's awful, on faith, like you usually do on this site!

Summary by Bot

The review criticizes Articolo 31’s album Domani Smetto for abandoning pure hip-hop traditions in favor of a commercial sound featuring electric guitars and less authentic themes. The reviewer views the band as sellouts, lamenting their departure from meaningful street-oriented content. Despite the band’s prior success with 'Strade di città', this album is seen as a disappointing shift. The tone is sarcastic and strongly negative toward the album’s approach.

This album seems much less commercial... while this album is brimming with anger against our commercial society.

No matter what music you like, you’ll find everything here, just everything, blended quite perfectly to say the least.
