In my humble opinion, the reviewer is not necessarily obligated to write what he thinks. Rather, there is a worldview/life perspective/existential quiddity filtered through a Velvetian lens and, more generally, the circle of Warhol, making the contradiction with the almost contemporary pacifist hipponzoli obvious. Two different ways of living, two different ways of facing social life, two different ways of getting high. The paranoia of urban life. In the Pasolinian question, both draw from the same sources (De Sade, Masoch, cursed French writers) with indeed different results. Just think of the days of Sodom and what they convey as messages...
