I like Ammaniti a lot as a writer; he has that straightforward style that's like a punch on the head, which is exceptional. I’ve only seen the film, so I can’t compare it to the book, but I was really enthusiastic about it, starting with the quality of the actors (Elio Germano is incredible, and also this Filippo Timi, whom I only knew as a writer, can you believe it?).
