I’ve always seen CFH as a transitional album between the old and the new Pantera, and even the sound of the guitars never fully convinced me. I often think about what could have come out if "Domination" had been recorded during the "Vulgar.." period. Of course, I’m a fan of everything that followed, including "Reinventing The Steel." They were giants. Consistent, determined, fierce, badass, and musically impeccable. Honor to these heavyweights of metal.

After careful and repeated listens, I regret to say that this work did not meet my expectations. There are some good episodes, but I expected much more from Farrell & Co.

But in fact, I wouldn't even think of comparing it to what they had in the '80s! It's just that as an album released in 2007 by a band that has been together for over 25 years, it's more than respectable to me.
