I was there!! and I'm proud of it (especially considering I spent a total of 18 hours on the train to be there). The percussionist isn't exactly very useful, but he's not just for show; he serves a purpose (fun fact: he's Omar's brother). Anyway, this concert was simply amazing, a demonstration of physical and cerebral strength.. magnificent and unique.

The Mars Volta are fantastic, period. Their transition from one genre to another is never random, but always intentional, even in their live jams. They sound amazing (the drummer is basically the reincarnation of Bonham), and anyone who thinks they’re a mediocre band needs to clean out their ears. Period.

the review is nice, the album is nice, everything is very nice, not beautiful. anyway, that song is called Balanite, not Balantine and it's said psychedelic, not psicadelico (editors, correct yourselves). However, I don't agree with the praises for the lyrics of Verdena, I find them definitely awful. anyway, you're putting effort into your choice of albums and I appreciate it.
