I hope it's a joke. A film on which one could write a book. I'm not saying you need to be verbose, but the lack of enthusiasm, when paired with masterpieces like this, really bothers me. You could have done without it.

Give it a read; it's a somewhat controversial book because it has some memorable moments, ruined by other moments where its descriptive labor and labyrinthine plot get lost in a void of unglory. The main character, however, is crafted with a surprising depth, in my opinion. Anyway, I'll leave you with a similar anecdote: Luttazzi says about Baricco: "Why do women like Baricco so much? Because his prose is the literary equivalent of the Epilady."
