Nanni Moretti La Stanza Del Figlio

I forgot the ratings. I've seen three other films by Moretti: Ecce Bombo, Il portaborse, Il caimano. I consider all of them superior to this one.

Not by any means his best film, but still a great touch in direction in this case.

"only by sensationalizing them with the addition of a few emblematic questions (was it right to crucify Jesus?) without giving even half an answer" ----> Ah, but is this the problem? What the hell are you doing, looking for answers like that in a movie? Art was not created to provide answers, anyway. Otherwise, our beloved Kubrick could go fuck himself. The film deserves a passing grade. Great review.

Boh, what a load of nonsense. Anyway, in the end, where there’s nonsense, I show up too, and I can’t help but say a couple of things. 1.: this second one is a great album, from one of the greatest bands that ever existed. Cobain's talent for songwriting is something striking. As a guitarist, well, let's not go there; he's not exactly amazing, but I've never seen such a terrible guitarist write so many beautiful songs. Nirvana, between 1989 and 1993, spat in people's faces a myriad of things, with 4 albums packed full of ideas and expressiveness, balancing a punk soul and a pop soul, and blending the two perfectly. It's a shame Kurt Cobain died because I would have loved to see his later works and his evolution as a musician. 2.: The Minutemen are more technical, for example, than Pink Floyd; of course, the way you came to compare them is driven only by mutual hatred, because there’s no other reason to compare these two deeply distant entities. Anyway, it’s also nonsense to criticize Pink Floyd, who remain one of the most creative and influential bands in the history of rock. It's absurd to make comparisons like the ones you’ve come up with.

They remind me a lot of Primus, even though they have a more solid sound. Their attitude also reminds me a lot of Primus, and a bit of Faith No More as well.

I hope this review does not only reflect the interests of me and Iside, considering that people stubbornly insist on commenting for the hundredth time on a Nirava album instead of discovering new music through Debaser.

"In short, to watch this movie, do you have to be made of stuff??"-----> No, you just need to have a brain with decent critical abilities. Don't you think you're fit for it?
Ivo Pogorelich 13.04.07 Concerto @ Teatro "G. Verdi" Terni
Voto:
Not even a comment for this beautiful critique? Well. The review is really well written, but I think you’re being too harsh, even though I wasn’t at the concert. Because Pogorelich is still a great pianist, maybe a little overrated, but certainly not by one. A bit like Accardo, he’s overrated too, but you can always tolerate Accardo, while sometimes Pogorelich acts so cool, literally altering the intent of a piece with his performance, and that can make him hated like no one else.
