Actually, it's neither krafwerk nor kraftwek. It's kraftwerk! :-)

Phenomenal review. As that old scoundrel said in an old tea commercial.

"And Radiohead are not the Rhine gold" -------> That they have nothing to do with Wagner, we agree. :-)))

Well, it's obvious that Neon Bible is more organized and refined; they hit the jackpot and everyone was waiting for them to falter. Some spontaneity is inevitably lost when that happens.
"And when anyone revisits an old piece, it's for me a sign of weakness" -----> The Radiohead do it often and willingly... :-). Anyway, the funny thing is that (you can see this on various pages of this site) people who weren't very satisfied with Neon Bible usually say, "Well, I didn't like it much, except for..." and they pull out two songs from the album, and I swear with all the pairs mentioned, I've practically seen every song from the album being cited! Uhuhuhu, ahahaha, ihihihi. beautiful!

I didn't know they had done this project too; well, from how you described it, it really appeals to me. I believe instead that Neon Bible is a masterpiece, from start to finish. I would like to understand where the "patches" that some mention on that record are. Compared to Funeral, it's more introverted, more stream-of-consciousness and "soaked" in arrangements and a very dense sound. But it certainly isn’t inferior to the debut.
Dream Theater Systematic Chaos

I always let out a big sigh of relief when even a fan finally realizes that their favorite band has put out a piece of crap. That said, for me, Dream Theater has only made two good albums (Images and Words and Awake) plus the first part of Six Degrees (if each song didn’t have 6 minutes of unnecessary solos). This is a one for me.

I apologize, I mistakenly wrote the title of the latest album by Julie's Haircut. Freudian slip.

Among the very few Italian indie bands I can stand (along with the very talented newcomer Beatrice Antolini, I hate the rest). They are good, and I liked "after dark my sweet" quite a bit. I haven't listened to this one.
Franco Battiato Il Vuoto

Downloaded, listened to a couple of times months ago, it didn't impress me. I appreciate Battiato's brain, but it doesn't really touch my heart.

Where Michele Luppi sings, no grass grows, nor does a flower bloom. I will avoid him like the plague.
