angra?----> yes, you are right to be indignant, they did a handful of decent things.
stratovarius?-----> icy, but the early albums have several interesting ideas. I don’t like their way of playing.

As for metal, I save, let's say: Savatage, Iron Maiden, early Metallica, Blind Guardian, Testament, Anthrax, Stratovarius, Dream Theater (I'm still undecided if they're metal), Faith No More and Primus, which aren’t metal but draw from the genre, Angra, Fates Warning, Dimmu Borgir, Diamond Head, Megadeth, Death. That's basically it, considering I've surely forgotten something.

I used to listen to metal heavily until a while ago. Then, in general, it bored me, also because I realized that it’s much rougher than I thought (in terms of compositions, I mean). In metal, I’d say I appreciate prog, classic heavy, thrash, the early power and symphonic bands (I hate the continuation of the genre), and very rare things from black and death.

Alright, I clear up the doubt. I choose the reviews. Anyway, the guy is right. It wouldn't be bad if you sometimes tried something different. I'm not saying to completely ditch it, but maybe switch genres...
