What’s the point of living without extremes?

"Girls & Boys" is a masterpiece, even the video is fantastic. The album as a whole doesn’t make me shout miracle; I’ve always appreciated Albarn's irony, but I can’t find any of their albums truly perfect.

I don’t even know why I listened to her; for years Tori Amos has been drifting in mediocrity, transforming from a small earthquake into a slight gastrointestinal rumble.
Daniele Luttazzi Decameron: poltica, sesso, religione e morte (2007)
Voto:
The show was nothing more than a failed recycling of the best Luttazzi, innovative for Italian TV in terms of vulgarity, making me smile every half hour.
Joe Jackson Band Afterlife
Voto:
Rece interesting, I currently only know Joe Jackson's incredible "Night and Day," which I find to be one of the most beautiful pop records I've ever listened to.

Beautiful, I've been listening to it lately and although it is less varied and eclectic than Pretzel Logic, it is a great testament to maturity and how confidently they can navigate through completely different registers in their style: here they indeed get a bit closer to what would become Fagen's solo sound, a pop imbued with jazz harmonies. A truly special mention goes to the guitar solos (for the one in "Peg," I read they struggled to find the right guitarist and had to change seven times before settling on the final one), and to the solo on "Aja" by Steve Gadd, whose drumming has an immediate recognizability, which is quite rare for a fusion sideman. A very nice review.

Wow, I even lowered the average for the reviewer without realizing it. If I had known, I would have avoided rating the review, which is still good.
Gilberto Gil Expresso 2222
Voto:
The review didn't really excite me much, but the proposal is quite interesting, especially since I've been meaning to listen to something by Gilberto Gil for a while now.
