But how the hell can you say in a discussion, "I can do without what came after 1977"? You're not just cutting out a movement (which in itself would be serious). You're cutting out a piece of history. Shame on you.

Nek, your reasoning doesn't make any sense, please. I can't do A UNLESS it's certain music just BECAUSE it's from after 1977. Idiot.

Rush, Faith No More, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Pere Ubu, Ministry, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Melvins, Clash, Savatage, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Michael Hedges, Van Halen, Extreme, Mr. Bungle, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Dire Straits, Smashing Pumpkins, Mars Volta, and I could go on forever. I'm leaving, but your ignorance (in the sense that you ignore) leaves me with a deep wound.

But fuck you. That’s the only thing I can say after your statement about the post 1977. You wrote a post that is an insult to music. For me, the discussion is closed. Just like your mindset.

Well, it seems to me that the things you brought up in the previous comments are just empty statements and little else. Why do you tie perfection to what YOUR listening suggests to you? Stuffy. What does that mean? I've heard people say that Gilmour's solo on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is stuffy, you know? You speak out of dislike, and that's the only reason you could have given a 1 to "Amnesiac" and "Kid A."

I'm sorry, but unpleasantness cannot be a method for determining what is perfect and what is not, simply because unpleasantness is not a musical or artistic canon, but a subjective opinion, among other things quite superficial. Fontana's cuts, for example, are very unpleasant to the eyes of many. Botero's paintings may be "unpleasant" to some. As for incompleteness, please explain better. For example: are Kid A and Amnesiac incomplete? Why?

Oh! But what a little rascal you are!!!

So what do you consider imperfections, excuse me?

Meanwhile, I don't understand what you mean by the word "perfection." Is it related to form? Or to content? If it is related to form, then we're really in trouble. Plus, an album can be innovative and unique precisely because of its imperfections. A guitar that is TOO distorted. A sound that is TOO dark.

It's just that Porcupine Tree, unlike Radiohead, sometimes excessively repeat the Floydian lessons, so you like them.
