Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon

Mmmmh, you might be getting worked up for no reason. Dave, there are two things you might have missed: 1) this isn't a proper review. 2) As a consequence of the first point and the tone of this writing, there aren't any real criticisms, but rather some jests. Of course, you can give me a one, just like other fans of Pink Floyd have done (some even giving me 12 each... :-)). However, I don't think you can say that what I wrote is offensive, because we're talking about The Dark Side of the Moon, and I can also tell you that everyone knows it here on DeBaser. And anyway, even if the dialogue were real, I don't believe it would take away from the value of this record. Words matter less than you think in music. As for the favorite reviewer discussion, I don't think I'm anyone's favorite reviewer, because a know-it-all has never written a review.

All of this drives me to write a new review about Pink Floyd...

I find it in its own way very interesting.

"A Matter Of Life And Death is the latest album by Iron, and it promises to be quite a dark work right from the cover" -------> You can say that again... it reminds me of the covers of Goosebumps. A real nightmare fuel.

But do you think I got angry? Just so you know, my joke (vulgar) was also a play on words. I’d prefer to be told that I don’t understand a damn thing about music rather than be told to go listen to Gigi d'Alessio. The meaning is the same. In the realm of prog metal, Allen wouldn’t actually be that bad, but to my ears, he doesn’t produce a vocal line with any style or originality. In the end, he confirms all the clichés of the prog metal singer. Obviously, his technique is not up for debate; it's his personality that is. Which I find to be absent. And I make almost the same argument for Romeo.

Oh yes, I am vulgar and conceited! You guessed it. My insult is entirely appropriate for your invitation. I don’t know if Romeo is your brother or your uncle, but my judgment of him is not baseless; it is the result of reflections. So it’s an opinion perhaps not to be dismissed with your warm invitation.

Great review. I'm undecided about what rating to give the album because it's fundamental to the psychedelic movement (so that's a 5), but it doesn't reach a musical ecstasy that allows for enjoyment of the compositions within it (so that's a 3.5). I'll give it a 4 and come back later to read Dave's discussion. Ah, one thing about drugs. The discussion about the open-mindedness of certain drugs doesn't seem outdated to me; in fact, it's a factor I've been reflecting on a lot. Getting high can cause irreversible damage to the body and mind, but if used very carefully, certain drugs can permanently change your sensory perception, making you more receptive (and that applies to music as well). Of course, to make these considerations, one must abandon common morality.
