Anyway, it would also be worth spending a few words on the music inserts by Ligeti, which I think are simply genius. Kubrick's choice is brilliant (at the time Ligeti wasn't as well-known an avant-gardist as he is today), the way he incorporated them and the atmosphere they create from "the first dawn" is something that sends chills down your spine. Ligeti uses the technique he calls "micropolyphony," which he explains as "the complex polyphony of each part is incorporated into a harmonic-musical flow in which the harmonies do not change suddenly, but merge into one another; a distinguishable combination of intervals gradually fades, and from this nebula, one discovers that a new combination of intervals takes shape." It opens with the largest clusters ever written (every note of a chromatic scale is played within the range of five octaves). The piece then seems to lose its massive initial chord, but very slowly, with a continuous shifting of structure. Timeless music in every sense. Perfect for the film.

"2001 is a very Nietzschean film"----> Maybe, but not in the way you want to present it. First of all, I think this is a Dadaist film, which plays on an accumulation of meanings aimed simply at stripping art of meaning. And it’s the same thing Nietzsche does with philosophy: indeed, in my opinion, Nietzsche is not a philosopher; he is merely an artist who employs philosophy. Nietzsche is a magnificent writer, not a great philosopher. In fact, if you really want me to tell you, as a philosopher he is inferior to many others. His is an artistic tension, and parallel to that, Kubrick’s also assumes the same traits. The final scene has so many hidden meanings for me that it loses them all, acquiring only one: the perfection of visual manifestation. With that ending, Kubrick has created the perfect visual work, so intensely directed towards the infinite that it unshackles itself from any earthly meaning.

@ Iside: Yes! Do you have any evidence that contradicts this thesis? :-)

Come on, I was just joking. It’s impossible to review a movie like this, “the big bang of cinema.” You still deserve a good score. Sorry, I refuse to rate this film.

""know-it-all," it takes courage to call you that"----> Mom Jackline, you really are a clueless person, even when it comes to the Italian language, evidently. Otherwise, you would know that 'saputello' is an adjective with negative connotations. It means 'know-it-all.' So it's not a compliment you're giving me, don’t worry. If you have any other problems with Italian, feel free to call me.

The review would be very nice if it weren't for the fact that you laid out the entire plot with too much nonchalance. The film is my favorite Kubrick movie. Because 2001: A Space Odyssey was made by God, and A Clockwork Orange was made by the Devil.

I'm listening to them right now. But do you know they're really cool? I think if they put in the effort in the future, they could really break through and create something original. One thing, though: the voice. I don't like it, it sounds like nonsense just to say they have some vocal lines too.

"But how do you think you can review three movies of this kind in a single review?" ------> Well, the only mistake is to group the third one with the other two, but combining the first two in a single review is, for me, acceptable. Also because it doesn't seem to me that I rushed through them in 10 lines.
