"A painting by Klimt can be used to package a women's perfume or to make wrapping paper" ------> I use Pollock's canvases (the original ones) as wrapping paper, while I can totally see Schiele as a cover for tights. Jokes aside, I would never use Klimt for gift wrapping; the package would end up looking so beautiful that the gift would seem like crap.

Hold on a moment, the similarities are there because both groups reference bands like Birthday Party, Jesus Lizard, and Shellac; it’s not like certain things were patented by Teatro degli Orrori. As for the poetic aspect of the lyrics, they are quite different. And as you rightly pointed out, there’s a good dose of hard-blues in the mix, which is completely missing in Teatro. Honestly, I don’t care much about Favero’s labels (I didn’t even know about this), he probably stuck them on to reassure himself, given that some of those ideas might have come first from Elettrofandango (since they were also around before Teatro degli Orrori as a band). The first time I saw them live, for instance, was in 2006, and there were strongly theatrical elements in their shows (once, they even had some sort of sketches they performed during the concerts, embodying noir comic characters). As for the graphic visuals, they are manipulated by an additional member of the group, as I mentioned in the review.

@ Mr.M: I literally hate the version of Downer in this demo, it's 300 times worse than the subsequent one (which, let's be clear, isn't technically outstanding and recorded like a Steely Dan album, but it reaches perfection, just to show how much I care about the quality and brilliance of the recording). To make such a crappy sound, you just need to have terrible instruments; you don't have to be a great artist. But I'll still give it a shot with the scimitar in my ass and a fart, and if it works out, I'll send you the promo. I'm feeling confident.

Respectful opinion and masterful review, I must say that in my view you’re spouting a lot of nonsense. What you call abrasive, poorly recorded, deteriorated, damaged, swollen, and offensive to the point of depravity is nothing more than a demo from a very promising kid whose editing flaws you elevate as great merits. If we relativize the flaws of every record in this way, then we are flooded with demos from groups of kids jamming in garages that are subversive, demonic, heavily satirical, and dirty (and therefore valuable? I don’t know) to the core. Moreover, I quite detest those who claim to tell “who the true Cobain is” (if such a thing even exists), and this narrative has really become tiring, as if everyone now knew him like their best jam buddy. I believe it would be good and right to limit ourselves to reasoning about the content of the records if we want to talk about music, and the content of Nirvana’s "commercial" records is certainly not worse than this demo just because it’s less dirty. Then again, everyone has their own tastes, but the equation “Poorly recorded = more spontaneous and true” has always made me laugh out loud.

Bisius?!? I had no idea you were still around. Anyway, yes, in my personal opinion, the texts are really interesting, without veering into bold intellectual musings, but always permeated by a certain sarcastic black humor and deliberately caricatured. "Miniature Theatre of Horrors" honestly can’t be heard!

Damn, I had posted the link to myspace, but now I see it has disappeared; anyway, they can be found on myspace (www.myspace.com/elettrofandango), their album is distributed by Goodfellas, and they often perform concerts around Italy. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the best albums released this year, and their concerts are absolutely indescribable: a must-see.

One of my favorite paintings by my favorite painter. I don't think it's necessary to delve into the meanings of his depictions, as their beauty transcends any visual symbolism.

"I can only think of the lovely Ornella, with her claims to being the Italian JLo, for whom I went all out sending texts (at least two 50 euro SIM cards were tragically consumed), unjustly eliminated during the early episodes." -------> In short, you should have spent more to prevent this HORRIBLE musical injustice, how could you let this happen?

"aware that his project of Italy has more or less been realized in our Country" ----> Yeah. You write in a really heavy way but sometimes touch on interesting topics. The jungle of 1 confirms the usual idiocy of the average debaserian audience.

An incredible album. And what a sound those electric guitars have. It feels like a wonderful crossover between Led Zeppelin and kraut rock!
