Great, Very Great Francescobus... I really enjoyed this review... one of your best... you analyze all aspects and use an "evocative" language that is 100% effective (Hell... to quote Necrodeath :-D)... an album that puzzled me a lot at the time and that I couldn’t fully appreciate... I considered it too "bleak", too melodically varied, and at the time I was in the mood for something completely different, but you gave me a nice push to take it up again... thank you... and congratulations again...

agree with Francescobus... I acknowledge that I don't fully share it even if it's written decently... a little disc compared to the previous ones but it's listenable without too much grimacing...

My comment referred to the fact that, in addition to mentioning the usual well-known bands, you don't refer to either the band or the album... I repeat that the comparison with Metallica is valid only to a certain extent, and you were the one who wrote: “Slayer continued to release albums with mixed results ranging from good (Divine Intervention) to awful (Diabolus In Musica), and Testament started experimenting with death (Demonic) with disastrous outcomes”... “In this bleak landscape, a band managed to emerge, in the aforementioned 1991”... it doesn’t seem to me that Slayer and Testament released those albums in 90/91... that’s why it seems to me that you might not know the Thrash scene of the 80s/90s very well... but probably (actually definitely) I might be wrong, and you will have the opportunity with more comprehensive reviews to prove otherwise... and sorry... don’t you think that the "bleak landscape" was caused more by a shift in public interest than by a change in sound (which for me was just a consequence, in an attempt to stay on the crest of the wave)?... well... everyone has their opinions, and that’s okay... I apologize again... my comments may be due to the fact that certain albums could have received a review "a bit more to my liking"... sorry... bye

Well... the review seems very (sorry for being blunt) "simple"... it shows (at least this is my impression) a limited knowledge of the Thrash scene (you mention the usual names and some information, like those about Testament, are not accurate: Souls of Black (1990) and The Ritual (1992), from those years, are far from the Death that’s to come)... Slayer, that year, released "only" Decade of Aggression (so, in '91 we are not in the "desolate landscape" you talk about, we are in another desolate landscape) and then, sorry... you hardly talk about the band, almost nothing about the album except the comparison with Metallica which feels very tight (and not because Heathen is better).
Damn... there were a thousand things to say (see the comment from Francescobus, hi,)... in short... like the TIF review of Forbidden (and others), this review also fails to convey the true beauty of the album... I’m sorry for being so "harsh"; I’m not targeting you and it’s clear you have a passion for what you write... my intention is to provide constructive feedback (even if a bit harsh) and encourage you to improve, if you wish to hear it... and it’s probably better that I don’t rate it... sorry again...

great review (and great finale... just how I like it :-DDD)... I have some faded memories of the album, but they don’t allow me to rate it... I only know that I wasn't thrilled (actually, I listened to this simultaneously with TIF by Forbidden and Absolute Power, and I think the comparison somewhat hurt it... maybe I'll make up for it now... thanks for reminding me... I’ve never listened to the next one... but it's been on my list for ages...
Great Fede... you brought back to my mind an interesting band... you, as usual, the best in Thrash!
