Francesco Guccini Parnassius Guccinii
Voto:
Good album but far from the Guccini peaks and therefore also from a 5. The song for Silvia has become tiresome over time and the highlights are few in my opinion: Acque, Samantha, and the only true classic of the album, which is Farewell.

As many have already said, it's not an outstanding album, but it's neither shameful as it's been described.
Roberto Vecchioni Hollywood Hollywood

Are you talking about albums or the songs with the same names? I don’t know, because I find Milady a bit self-indulgent, but Samarcanda is obviously exceptional, as is Calabuig. Also, Blumun is better than Hollywood in any case, for sure. To stay in the same period, Robinson is also better. He has always been a bit inconsistent, I must say.
Franco Battiato 18 luglio: Franco Battiato live @ Giardini di Boboli, Firenze.

Oh my gosh, you really put in some effort to find that photo of Franco, didn't you??? LOL
Massimo Bubola Amore e Guerra
Voto:
I also heard Bubola live once, but on his own (I join the chorus), he doesn't convince. De André definitely managed to highlight his best qualities. An honest craftsman of song, with some good flashes, but nothing more. I don’t vote because I’ve never listened to the album, but I repeat, having heard him live, I believe that 5 stars are quite generous.

If you don't even like - at least - Sestri Levante and Dentro gli occhi, well, you don't like Vecchioni. Or do you???
Fabrizio De André Anime salve
Voto:
De Andrè and Fossati here create a very high masterpiece. The album, which is indeed crafted by both of them, was supposed to be released under both their names, but differing views on the arrangements (Fossati, responsible for most of the musical aspect, wanted to lean towards more Western sounds, less "ethnic") led them to mutually agree to release the album solely under Fabrizio's name. A final anthem for free spirits.
Ivano Fossati La pianta del tè
Voto:
Dear Shine, I am compelled to disagree :-) The tea plant is still a masterpiece and a milestone in Italian music. It would deserve a 4 just for being contextualized in the historical moment in which it was released. It’s still my favorite Fossati, along with Macramè and Discanto.
Ivano Fossati L'Arcangelo

Once in a while, I make an exception and rate the review. I agree with the 4... it could even be a 4.5 just to distinguish it from absolute fossatian masterpieces, but this lightening up... this "wise simplicity," indeed, remains a pleasant surprise. "Il Battito" is a gem.
