Rino Gaetano Sotto I Cieli Di Rino
Voto:
In my opinion, Gaetano has been overvalued, and I think it's been somewhat instrumental to his commercial revival. I mean, with all due respect, at a certain point, Gaetano became a genius, but in my view, yes, he was good, but one of the geniuses of songwriting? I don't think so.

@ iside: Sibilla's album was "Oppio" ;-)
@fabiomr: I fully agree with your analysis.

This matter of curses actually doesn't really have a clear origin.
Franco Battiato Caffè De La Paix
Voto:
However, Primiballi, here the Battiato lyricist (as opposed to the Battiato musician) was already showing signs of fatigue. Evidence of this is the fact that some lyrics were already entrusted to Angelo Arioli and Carlotta Wieck. The subsequent work with Sgalambro produced inconsistent results, but in some cases also excellent ones, especially when FB returned to actively participate in writing the lyrics in tandem with the philosopher.
Francesco Guccini Metropolis

This is one of the Guccini that I still miss, I must confess, but what a drag this cliché of the "political" Guccini is (but where? in the skits he does at concerts, at most), I can’t take it anymore...
Franco Battiato Caffè De La Paix
Voto:
Beautiful album, but I can't give it a 5 simply because, in my opinion, Battiato has released even better albums than this one. This is, among other things, the first album post-Giusto Pio and simultaneously the last one before the Sgalambro period. So it's a transition album, marking a return to the use of bass guitar and drums, this time combined with ethnic instruments, creating an authentically "world" album.
Queen News Of The World

The review and rating are quite shareable. I don't agree with considering SHA one of the least successful pieces, but aside from this detail, it's certainly fair to say that it's an uninspired album, and the stunning continuity and cohesiveness of its purely multifaceted predecessors is unfortunately lost.
Tom Waits Heartattack And Vine
Voto:
Transition record, characterized by the constant presence of Hammond organs and gritty electric guitars, and precisely because of its interlocutory nature it is not one of the (many) Waitsian masterpieces, but it is still excellent.
Pino Daniele, Francesco De Gregori, Ron, Fiorella Mannoia In Tour

Dènghiu, if you say so, I can trust it. Maybe I'll see about getting them back.

But do you really think I waste my time arguing with nothing?
