Fabrizio De André In Direzione Ostinata E Contraria 2

I am not against compilations per se; some can even be useful, but I have serious doubts about these mega brick-like three-CD sets that thoughtlessly combine an absurd number of songs from an artist solely for the purpose of selling them "by weight." A best of compilation can make sense, a thematic collection, almost anything can be done, but what is this? Nothing. Songs picked from a pile: it’s really selling music by the kilo, and with De André, it’s even more annoying. "I’ve got a kilo and a half, madam, what should I do, leave it?"
Juri Camisasca La Finestra Dentro

Really interesting. I have nothing by Juri, regrettably. The recent Camisasca is an excellent author, though, and he has a beautiful voice.

What a valuable record this is, one that I really want to listen to again.

I see that I am being dragged into the realm of campanilistic controversy with an enogastronomic backdrop, and what do I do now? Should I start talking about Cartizze and think of it in the context of a fish-based lunch on the Riviera del Brenta? Or should I talk about Amarone, or the cured meats from my area? Come on... Rather, given that there are those three cats on Debaser who focus on singer-songwriter music, I’d like to point out a nice "handcrafted" product from that Veneto which, sadly, produces very little in the musical field... it’s a group that should prove to be very interesting to you; they are my most recent review, give them a listen. Perhaps with a glass of Cabernet, it’s recommended ;).
Morgan Non Al Denaro, Non All'Amore Né Al Cielo

Honestly, the operation leaves me quite perplexed. I find "Non al denaro" to be a practically perfect album, a towering record by a magnificent author... I understand the homage, but I don’t see what could be added without simultaneously taking something away. For example, the wonderful voice of Faber, which can hardly be replaced by the well-meaning Morgan. But if it happens, I will listen to it.

I stopped at the word song, which automatically triggers the votes. As for Paul Rodgers, he devours George Michael in one bite at breakfast and even at dinner. Burp.

As a good Venetian, I'm ecumenical ;) especially when it comes to wine. The other day, I had to replenish my "cellar," which was visibly and dangerously in mourning, and for the occasion, I paired the usual Cabernet Franc with a bottle of Nebbiolo, a wine with which I still have insufficient experiences, inspired precisely by this discussion. The power of debbbaser eeeehhhh....

Piccola Bottega Baltazar Canzoni In Forma Di Fiore

Mmmm the link in the text is fake, but the link in the right column works. The website is www.piccolabottegabaltazar.it and there’s also quite a bit of material to download for those who are interested. Thank you for the appreciation; what matters to me is to spark the interest that a young group like Bottega fully deserves. Anyway, they're also starting to move outside of Veneto now; on their site, you will find their upcoming concerts. They’re going to Lecco, if I’m not mistaken, and to Bologna, and with a bit of good will, you can also find the CD published by Azzurra, which is also quite cheap. Their third album should come out in January.
