THE REVIEW

What is perfection? Perfection is that special thing that everyone, for better or worse, strives to achieve. Whether it's 14 or 15-year-old girls wanting to be the top of their class, or middle-aged housewives wanting to tidy up and clean the house for Saturday night's dinner guests, there's no difference.

But how many have the satisfaction of being perfect, of doing an absolutely magnificent job and being recognized for their personal achievements? Let's face it, few have managed to remain in the history of our days for having done something that will be remembered in the future or even forever. But there are those who have made it. It's them, the most popular British rock band of the '70s and '80s, the Queen, still followed by the present generation despite the dramatic death of their leader Freddie Mercury.

They achieved perfection with the perfect "We Are The Champions", a true anthem of victory. A song written by the English rock star of Indian origin. Originally released on the album "News Of The World" in 1997, it is in my opinion one of the most exciting and fascinating songs ever made. The track lasts about three minutes and was most often used as the final encore of many of their concerts. Due to the triumphant melody and the beautiful chorus lyrics, the song has always been used as a soundtrack to celebrate sports victories; in particular to celebrate the winners of the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA World Cup (CHAMPIONS!!!!!). Does such harmonic and textual perfection exist in today's music world? I highly doubt it, the feelings this song gives are incomparable with others, you listen to this pure and simple poetry by leaving aside what is around you, and concentrating only and I stress (damn I can't!) only on the melody that you savor and savor.

The song was along with "We Will Rock You" (another amazing track) the soundtrack to the movie "The Mighty Ducks Trilogy". It makes us cry when a song of such beauty is sung by Robbie Williams or reproduced by Crazy Frog. To me, they should only be ashamed, they are plagiarizing a true work of art!!
