Roman postscript, from a review that hasn’t been… Let’s start from the end: Rome is a shithole. Actually, more specifically: the Circolo degli Artisti is a shithole. After hearing yet another story about thefts from bands’ vans/tour buses parked right outside the venue, I have little faith in the opportunistic thief. But hey, maybe Santa Claus and the Boogeyman exist.
Let’s continue, still from the end… or thereabouts: I can’t hear anything from my right ear anymore. These Crippled Black Phoenix have more "impact" than I expected, and the tail end of Sharks & Storms swept over the audience like a raging river. And that’s it. Beautiful band, beautiful concert, gorgeous tattoos on Greaves, stunning the pouting Alicia Silverstone of cellist Chipper. And beautiful the review of the Targhetto.
