I immensely apologize for what I’m about to do, but Dulli is Dulli, and I won't budge. Let’s start with the fact that you lost track of the real second album, which is Blackberry Belle, from 2003, preceded by the EP (not a single) Black is the Colour of My True Love's Hair, which may be a tribute to Nina Simone, but is actually a traditional, although the most famous version is indeed Simone's. Brother Woodrow/Closing Prayer is so ethereal yet full of tension that I can’t possibly see Black is the Colour, so bloodied and biting, as a sung version of it. Bloodied and biting even though this is a watered-down version compared to those from live performances and the EP. You wouldn’t even mention that beautiful and heartbreaking thing which is Strange Fruit, or how Dulli manages to make What Makes You Think You're The One sound like Baba O'Riley by The Who (by the way, Teenage Wristband from Blackberry Belle bears resemblance to it). And you don't mention Martina Topley-Bird, author of Too Tough to Die, a testament to how Greg makes new releases he loves his own. I believe there's something off about Dulli's voice on this record; it comes off tamed and dull. Could it be age, effects, production? It lacks that spark that makes him Dulli. If you really wanted to write the biography, Dulli returned the favor to Agnelli in Ballate per piccole iene, in which alas his touch is quite noticeable, and by bringing him to One Little Indian to release the English version of the album. I ask for your forgiveness once more.

If you have any trust in me regarding Morphine, start with Cure for Pain. Otherwise, stick with the good old chronological order and you can't go wrong.

Thank you for the response, Carola. I simply went to check the Flaiano theater's website, interested in this suggestion of yours, and the lowest price I found was 40 euros, which didn't seem small at all. Too bad, otherwise I would have considered it. Anyway, it’s definitely an interesting initiative.

Dearest Biancoenero, you should ask your question to the honorable attendees. But then I wonder: how come, even though you’re not a regular commenter, you show up right on time for my reviews? Do you have something against me? Did I do something to you? If so, just say it, let’s talk about it. Is it envy of the tits? Did I discredit your favorite group? Maybe we can discuss it after you've written a few reviews yourself, so we can play on equal terms. It’s too easy to sit on the bench.

A sweet stab to the heart. Please, damn it. P.S.: perhaps I should have written it as a warning: it's a pretty sad record. Potential listeners consider yourselves warned.

Review widely simplified, for those who are too shy to kiss the cat's ass. *Sunday campaign 2008-2009 for the resumption of adding samples: put a sample in your review too! Sample is beautiful!*

Let's get back to the good habit of samples, for those who are too lazy to click on the links! Mary, in addition to 16 Horsepower (make sure to check out: Sackcloth'n'Ashes), also mark Woven Hand if you want to feel closer to God. Thanks to the honorable attendees!

It's fine with Rapeman, but haven't you gotten a bit too obsessed with that song? Savage Republic is great, it seems they are coming back to these Italian parts in January...
