I doubt it's available in Italian. It was a BBC adaptation made a few years ago, in 6 episodes. Stupendo de Carabas. However, I should mention that I saw it before reading the book, so my judgment might be slightly skewed.

visually beautiful, but you’re right when you talk about clichés. Many things reminded me a lot of The NeverEnding Story and Labyrinth. I liked the television adaptation of Neverwhere that the BBC did much more than Gaiman's work on screen.
