Yes, cla, combat folk in that sense. Even if the Levellers don't exclusively do that.

I should preface that when it comes to the Levellers, I am blind and deaf. I've been following them for 15 years, I've counted them out several times, and they’ve always managed to surprise me and prove that, although they may have mellowed, they are still the same. Fans of the Crass, but light years away from the Crass. And saying "it's a shit world, but let’s all jump in a circle to the beautiful sound of the fiddle from days gone by" seems reductive, limiting to me. They are not the Crass and have never positioned themselves as such. Did they sell the rights to "What a Beautiful Day" to an advertisement? So did the equally anarchistic Chumbawamba, who are also their friends, donating the proceeds to Leoncavallo, though I no longer remember the reason. Who's to say the Levellers didn't do the same? Not by chance, since they started making money (...money... so to speak), they have always supported/hosted/financed associations engaged in causes they have always believed in. Musically, they may not be exceptional, I've never claimed that... but who cares? I like them, they move me, now just like 15 years ago. After all, they say it themselves: "But the noise we thought would never stop died a death as the punks grow up." And it may be true, even in their case.

I tried again and I confirm my first impression. Aside from “White Winter Hymnal,” which makes me want to tie my hair in pigtails and run in a meadow, and also makes me want to grab an Uzi and go on a rampage, starting with the band. They give me the same effect that the niceness of the Polyphonic Spree does.

Learn one thing: those who profess to be women on DeBaser are not. And sometimes they aren't even the fake of those who want to make you believe they are.

Instead, my vote goes to the album. Among the influences, I would also include Battiato from his more experimental times (in fact, I discovered them on a tribute to Battiato where they did the cover of "Da Oriente a Occidente"). Nu-folk? I hear a lot of medieval-Renaissance music in it.

Well, what can I comment if Fest has already passed and said everything I wanted to say? Big party, huge group.
