Youssou N'Dour The Best Of Youssou N'Dour

My treasure, you didn’t reply to the previous question, makeba interpreter. More than African, Belafonte's music is Caribbean. To make a more focused and European discourse: Moni Ovadia. Then there are many names that come up with the right research: Angelique Kidjo, Les Zap Mama (Belgian, if I’m not mistaken), Johnny Clegg, a white African. And why not, the Maná Negra.

an interpreter? in the sense that they interpret songs written by others? explain yourself better. another name, to stay within the makebiano connection: harry belafonte.

I'm in a bit of a rush, so I'll quickly mention a couple of names regarding artists who brought a certain type of music to worldwide attention: Yma Sumac and Miriam Makeba (who, by the way, sings the song I'm named after, and no, it's not "Pata Pata").

You took a roundabout way to make your point... you even invoked Zamenhof! I’m not particularly fond of world music; perhaps it’s an exaggeration to elevate Youssou N'Dour as a champion of modern universal language at the expense of others. There are many, each in their own way.

the album is nice, they are even better live. I saw them not long ago and they really won me over.

the album doesn't attract me at all, not even the cover...

I still need to listen to the concert carefully. I could curse, but at some points, on an extremely superficial first listen, it seemed a bit wordy to me. The review… you already know.

a fan of mine?? and why on earth? the dalwhinnie is good too, less "peated" among the peated ones. I’ll throw in the glenkinchie as well, always one of the more delicate ones.

Mr. Nobody, Tullamore is light years away from Torbati, but what can I do? I love bland things. And I drank some Johnny Walker Blue Label (apparently very precious) that turned out to be just another whisky. JoP, the samples are beautiful; I’ve added Zelenka to my list of CDs to look for, but I fear it won't be easy.

The review is well done, but another group with "the" in front... I'm starting off biased. I can't get curious about it. Maybe some samples?
