Well, you can tell it's something different. Badalamenti has a completely different imprint compared to Mertens. As for Reich (and I should preface that I only listened to him fleetingly yesterday for the first time): Mertens is definitely inspired by him, but I find that Aunt Wim adds a more distinctly classical touch to her minimalism. Maybe I'm wrong, I still have to delve deeper into the study. I'll review.
