klezmer: Klezmer is a musical genre of Jewish tradition. The term originates from the fusion of the words kley and zemer, literally meaning instrument of song. This musical genre blends melodic, rhythmic, and expressive structures from different geographical and cultural areas (the Balkans, Poland, and Russia) with which the Jewish people have come into contact. Music that accompanies wedding celebrations, funerals, or simple everyday moments, klezmer originated within the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe, particularly the Hasidic communities. This music expresses both happiness and joy as well as suffering and melancholy, typical of Jewish music. The main instrument in the Jewish world of the shtetl and ghettos is undoubtedly the violin, but in klezmer, the clarinet and brass instruments, particularly the trumpet, will gain increasing prominence, along with percussion instruments, melodic percussion sounds like the cymbalom, and other instruments such as the cello, used as a portable bass. Klezmer would significantly contribute to the formation of jazz when Jews who had been persecuted migrated in large numbers to the Americas. Wikipedia docet :)

Damn, I miss you sometimes. But sometimes, you know? Just because today I'm feeling sentimental.

Jack Black and Dave Grohl are thick as thieves: Grohl appears in the video for "Tribute" (awesome!!), Black in the one for "Low," and both together in the Eagles of Death Metal’s video. That they aren't famous in Europe, you say… I discovered them a few years ago in Dublin…

scattered quotes: never saw it as a start, it's more a change of heart // i'm staying out for the summer, playing games with the rain // as for the cast, I remember "Fine Time" but I don't recall the lyrics, and "Boo Radleys Wake Up Boo" (wake up it's a beautiful morning...) was pretty annoying to me.
