Dear Io Ho Il Pene (best nickname is: burns), you’re not wrong, or almost. The greatest movie of all time, among those I've seen, is this (it’s a personal conviction that I invite you to respect just as I respect yours). Regarding the references to sacred texts, you’re the only one who saw them in my review; I’ve reread it several times and can’t find any. [If you’re referring to the sentence: "Il Monolito nero è sempre presente è Dio, è la Radice dell'Essere, il Numero, la Coscienza, la Tavola della Legge e il Primo Mattone dell'Universo," that is taken from the article of December 13, 1968, in Il Corriere Della Sera signed by Grazzini, as I specified in the comments (strangely, that line lost its italics).] 2001 is not a film in which everyone sees Nietzschean philosophy (is it spelled like that?), also because in the film, in the end, the star child does not save the globe from the atomic bomb (this clearly happens in the book; if I remember correctly, the film leaves a lot hanging). I repeat, the intention was to talk a bit about celestial mechanics and archaic myths, but things were getting too complicated (the lunch was indeed burning on the stove).

If I had been a fine speaker, I would have written at least 120 lines, but then I realize I'm becoming too convoluted. What I wanted to convey to you wasn’t the plot of the film; three lines would have sufficed, but rather the journey of man within man, the search for one's self; because that is what the Film is about (the only Film with a capital F, the others are just films). As ideas piled up in my mind, I noticed that the concepts intertwined between myths and reality became too tangled, and everything turned completely incomprehensible. So I gave up on the obscure conjectures: the precession of the equinoxes, the Mahabharata, the Bible, and many other myths that attempt to explain who we are and where we are going. The theme of time, the cycles that repeat, and many other things that are both understood and not, I leave to your imagination, just as the Film does. (the only Film I have seen in my life)
