@@@ MOreno aka CPTgaio ect.ect. Sorry, but I believe that a greatest hits of Iron is useless. I thought it was useless years ago when the other one came out, let alone this one. I mean, just having the first and maybe the second LP at home... maybe the first 10, but a greatest hits can't really represent them, for better or worse.... ps on June 12, the Fausto tribute comes out.

I listened to something, distractedly in the car, actually a De Gregori album that sounds like a De Gregori album played by De Gregori. Indeed, in Italy it's incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to change one's style. I remember in the early '80s a certain Bennato with "Kaiwanna," and he ended up flat on his back. Battisti had it a little better, just a little, because he never regained the triumphs of the '70s. A separate chapter would be deserved by De André, perhaps the only one who knew and wanted to renew himself, even though he too never sought to change his vocal style.
